NFL Network, Can I work for You?

It seems the NFL Network is in a great position of power these days. As a Directv subscriber I have no problem with that! HOWEVER millions of Amreicans are out of luck when it comes to watching these thursday games on television because cable TV does not carry the NFL network. While I will happily be watching my team tonight on thursday night, many local fans here and in Chicago (the opponent) will be VERY unhappy. Funny thing is, if NE goes 15-0, guess what? They play NY Giants on Thursday night on NFL Network to go undefeated! Talk about a bargaining tool! Are you sure the NFL officials aren't throwing NE games on purpose? Oops now I sound like Raven fan!

Be watching your sports news for a huge payday for the NFL network in months to come, sending the big 4 networks into a tizzy much bigger then that they threw when ESPN scored the MNF games! Wish I had stock in NFL network...hmmm.

Classless Ravens

All talk no action. That has been the theme of the Ravens for years. Known throughout the NFL as big talkers, on Monday night they showed their true colors. Blaming anyone they could for their loss to the Pats, except themselves, the real culprits. 100 yards in penalties? Turnovers, many second chances offered to Brady and the Pats, not good enough Baltimore. Then Bart (Simpson) Scott (DOH!) Shows his behind by throwing the flag back at the official who threw it for a real penalty that obviously altered the play and possibly the game. I thought temper tantrums were discouraged and punished after kindergarten? Then Samari Rolle is up in arms because an official called him boy. Well, with actions shown by Scott and Rolle, he is lucky the ref was so nice. Ravens need to stop crying and blowing kisses (COACH Billick) and man up and admit that they just were not good enough. Granted I think the ball was being juggled when it was caught by Gaffney but the fact remains they were beat. Why not be like Joe Gibbs, a true man, who after asked about his two timeout fiasco, which quite possibly cost the Redskins not only the game but the season, simply manned up and said, "put it on me, it was 100 % my fault". That's a man. The Ravens need to get on a conference call with Gibbs and ask him about real sportsmanship and manhood. Then maybe they will win close games at home against good teams.

Unbeaten and winless

How funny would it be to see the Miami Dolphins (0-12) beat the New England Patriots (12-0) in two weeks? I would say Hooray! to such an event. Talk about parody in the NFL. I will be pulling for the Fins on that day. Too bad I think the Steelers will beat the Dolphins to the punch next week. The irony of a winless team (and the Dolphins who are the only franchise to go unbeaten at that!) beating an undefeated team is classic! In two weeks I will be pulling with all fervor for the Fins!
