Running up the score in the NFL?
What is your stance? Here is mine...I have mixed thoughts. First I think if you are a juggernaut and can crush other professionals on the field, then go for it! If you can score without really trying, then so be it. The only problem I have is when teams are throwing bombs when they are up by 40 points. Or when they still have star athletes in the lineup when they obviously have the game in hand. What is the point of risky stars like Brady, Manning, or Palmer or Moss Owens, or Holt when you have it locked up? Why risk your playoff chances from one errent hit when you have a game won? Would Belicheck be fired if Brady had gotten hit and broken his leg a la Theisman on this past Sunday? I would argue that he should be. It was pointless having Brady in the game with a 38-0 lead. Pointless. If Redskins start to comeback then put Brady back in, by why risk it? It is not worth the pride payoff you gain by spanking a team. Ridiculous if you ask me!
